Nicholas M. Dodosh bio
Attorney Nicholas Dodosh has been involved in handling everything from whiplash car accident cases to police shooting fatality cases. He has pursued cases where individuals lost body parts or died due to the negligence of others, and where parents have lost children due to drowning. Mr. Dodosh has argued in the Appellate Courts throughout the state of Ohio – including the Eighth District Court of Appeals in Cleveland – and successfully has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of his clients. He believes that thorough preparation and factual analysis is the key to the successful outcome of any legal claim.
Mr. Dodosh has been invited to speak to law students about being successful in the practice of law, and has been called upon by other lawyers to assist them in their own personal legal matters. Most recently, he was invited by the National Business Institute to speak at its Dec. 17, 2013, Continuing Legal Education seminar on the topic of Strategies for Legal Research. Mr. Dodosh also is writing an article that will appear in the coming edition of the CATA News concerning recent updates to the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA), the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), and the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA).

Education and Accolades
Mr. Dodosh earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University of Ohio where he was a double major in Political Science and Communications. He graduated from Miami with honors and immediately went on to attend law school at the University of Akron School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Dodosh was selected to serve as Assistant Editor of The Akron Law Review – an honor reserved for only top law students. He also was a member of Akron Law’s nationally ranked trial team, which is considered by U.S. News and World Report to be one of the top 10 trial advocacy programs in the nation. Other top 10 schools include Georgetown University, Baylor University, and Northwestern University. Upon graduating with his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, Mr. Dodosh also obtained a Litigation Certificate, indicating that he had gone above and beyond in his studies and had completed additional coursework with a focus on trial advocacy and dispute resolution.
Legal Career and Professional History
While in law school Mr. Dodosh was a law clerk in the Cleveland office of Reminger Co., LPA, which is one of the Midwest’s top defense firms. As a Reminger law clerk, Mr. Dodosh did everything from drafting extensive motions for summary judgment to preparing memoranda of law spanning a wide range of complex legal issues. He also became highly skilled in utilizing both traditional and online legal research methods – skills that are essential in today’s fast-paced and high-stakes legal environment. In addition, he learned how big insurance defense firms think, act, and evaluate cases. He still regularly puts that knowledge to use for the benefit of his injured clients.
After his time at Reminger, Mr. Dodosh went on to practice law at the Charles E. Boyk Law Offices, LLC and then at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A. as a plaintiff’s lawyer. He handled a high volume caseload while also preparing the vast majority of the firm’s written motions, mediation position statements, trial briefs, and appellate briefs.
